MART 150MS Furniture RFR-07-23-18

The Montachusett Regional Transit Authority (MART) is requesting responses from qualified contractors, for the purchase and installation of new office furniture in our 150 Main St Brokerage Offices, located on the second floor of the Fitchburg Intermodal Facility at 150 Main Street, the furniture quoted must be identical or similar to AIS Division, panel fabric being Cape Cod Harwich with Satin White trim and the laminate being Summer Drops style. (Please see attached Bill of Materials and Design.)

The scope of work includes;

  1. The disassembly, removal, and storage of existing modular workstations, screens, and accompanying furniture.
  2. Assembly and installation of new workstations, including screens, personal dividers, and cabling.
  3. Assemble and install cubicles in manager’s areas.
  4. This project will run in conjunction with carpeting and painting renovation which shall require flexibility on the part of the selected contractor.Specifications for the above scope of the RFR are attached.  The contractor is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits and the costs associated with them.  Because of the nature of the work at the offices, all work will be done during off hours, evenings and weekends, and the offices must remain fully functional throughout the project. Hours of operation for the offices are M-F/6am-9pm.  In addition, this project utilizes State and Federal funding, so all prevailing wage requirements are in effect. The contractor will also be required to provide a copy of their federal W9 form and an adequate Certificate of Liability Insurance upon approval of their response.  Within your response, please include an estimated manufacturer’s lead time for furniture, as this will be a determining factor for award.
